Laguna Beach North
Real Estate Information
The community of Laguna Beach North consists of the many homes along Highway 1, north of Laguna Beach's Broadway Street. Nestled between the ocean and Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, residents of North Laguna Beach enjoy beautiful beaches at Cameo Cove, Emerald Bay, Crescent Bay, and Shaws Cove.
The northwestern end of the community boasts many large, luxury homes overlooking the ocean. Moving closer to Laguna Beach Village, the homes become more "beach vintage" including many classic Californian Craftsman Bungalows.
Environmental preservation is also very important to the community of Laguna Beach. For example, the Laguna Beach State Marine Reserve (LBSMR) extends south from Irvine Cove in Laguna Beach North, and whale and dolphin watching are both popular activities here.
Curious about the type of homes you can find in this area? Take a look at these stunning properties sold by Jacqueline Thompson in Laguna Beach:
Laguna Beach is approximately 1 hour by car (or 50 miles) from central Los Angeles. Laguna Beach is also 1 hour 20 minutes (80 miles) from San Diego.
Central Laguna beach and the village area are very walkable, including the famous Main Beach. However, as the neighborhood narrows to the north, walkability decreases. Beaches in North Laguna Beach are also separated from each other, as most or located within small rocky bays or coves.
As mentioned, Main Beach is very accessible. It is a public beach with excellent amenities, only 5 minutes away from the extreme end of North Laguna Beach. Laguna Beach's neighbors include Laguna Niguel to the east, Crystal Cove and Newport Coast to the northwest, and Irvine to the north.
