Turtle Rock Area Information

The community of Turtle Rock itself includes many prestigious and affluent residential enclaves, themselves built around integrated parks with trails that wind through the various neighborhoods, and more rugged hilltops and ridges.

Within Turtle Rock, Turtle Rock Drive provides a loop road around the area, providing easy access to all points and the routes which link Turtle Rock to the wider Irvine and Orange County region.

The luxury gated community of Turtle Ridge is located to the south, and the equally luxurious community of Shady Canyon is located to the southeast. Strawberry Farms Golf Club is located at the northeastern corner of Turtle Rock, beyond which is a wild grassy hillside. The impeccably designed University Park community is just north of Turtle Rock, and west of that is the Rancho San Joaquin Golf Course and William R Mason Regional Park. The large area west of Turtle Rock is home to the University of California Irvine campus and all of its attending communities and facilities.

Central Turtle Rock has two viewpoints: Turtle Rock Viewpoint and French Hill. Both of these offer excellent hiking trails and views, great for enjoying the warm afternoons and beautiful sunsets of the Southern California coastline.

The wider area around Turtle Rock is known for its fantastic golf courses, hilly wild areas and nature preserves, and public beaches.
