The eastern portion of the community is dedicated to the wilderness continuous with Bommer Canyon, providing a tranquil setting between major urban areas.

Turtle Ridge’s most prestigious community is Summit at Turtle Ridge, an elevated and guard-gated community where residences enjoy large terraced yards with pools, courtyards, and mature trees.
Most of the homes in Turtle Ridge can be described as Tuscan in style, with red-terracotta roof tiles, stucco exteriors, arches and balconies, and various details in iron and wood. Given the position of Turtle Ridge, many of the homes enjoy beautiful views of the ocean and hills.
Construction of Turtle Ridge homes began in the early 2000s, and now there are over 2000 units in the area. These homes are distributed over a number of smaller enclaves, including Amberhill, Arborel, Ashton Green, Arezzo, Botanica, Chaumont, Citrus, Fiore, Gleen Glen, La Cima, Ledges, The Summit, Canyon’s Edge, Whispering Glen, Chantry and Mattina. Turtle Ridge Community Amenities
Turtle Ridge has a number of excellent community amenities, parks, viewpoints, and other features. Some more general features include the guard-gated security offered to some areas, and the communities elevated location which provides some stunning views.
There is also the convenient location of Turtle Ridge, near major access routes and some of Orange County’s premier destinations like Irvine proper, Shady Canyon Golf Club, the University of California Irvine, Newport Center, Balboa Island and Peninsula, and the beautiful beaches of Corona del Mar and Crystal Cove.
Turtle Ridge has one natural park in the form of the ruggedly beautiful and scenic Bommer Canyon in the east. And, in the west, there is Las Lomas Community Park, which includes sports fields, ball diamonds, tennis courts, and kids’ play areas.
The Summit at Turtle Ridge common area has a beautiful clubhouse, pools, greens, and gardens for residents to enjoy.
Students in Turtle Ridge fall within the Irvine Unified School District which administers some of the region’s best schools. Nearby schools are Vista Verde Elementary, and University High School.
