Turtle Ridge is a master-planned community between Irvine and Newport Coast in Orange County, California. More specifically, the Turtle Ridge area is located north of California State Route 72, also known as the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor. To the north of Turtle Ridge is Bonita Canyon Drive and Shady Canyon Drive, and to the east is Bommer Canyon and to the east of that Shady Canyon.

Turtle Ridge Area Information

Other neighboring communities are Newport Ridge, Spyglass Hill, Tesoro, University Hills, and Turtle Rock.

Turtle Ridge itself consists of a number of smaller neighborhoods and housing tracts with varying property types and community features, and the eastern portion of the community hosts a number of facilities including a church, schools, and community buildings.

Turtle Ridge is built in the San Joaquin Hills, offering a commanding view of the surrounding area. As such, there are a number of viewpoints dotted around Turtle Ridge to enjoy. The eastern portion of the community is dedicated to the wilderness continuous with Bommer Canyon, providing a tranquil setting between major urban areas.

Turtle Ridge has a number of excellent community amenities, parks, viewpoints, and other features. Some more general features include the guard-gated security offered to some areas, and the communities elevated location which provides some stunning views.

There is also the convenient location of Turtle Ridge, near major access routes and some of Orange County’s premier destinations like Irvine proper, Shady Canyon Golf Club, the University of California Irvine, Newport Center, Balboa Island and Peninsula, and the beautiful beaches of Corona del Mar and Crystal Cove.

Turtle Ridge has one natural park in the form of the ruggedly beautiful and scenic Bommer Canyon in the east. And, in the west, there is Las Lomas Community Park, which includes sports fields, ball diamonds, tennis courts, and kids’ play areas.

The Summit at Turtle Ridge common area has a beautiful clubhouse, pools, greens, and gardens for residents to enjoy.

Students in Turtle Ridge fall within the Irvine Unified School District which administers some of the region’s best schools. Nearby schools are Vista Verde Elementary, and University High School.
