Corona Highlands is a small hillside neighborhood in the Corona del Mar community of Newport Beach CA. This community consists of a series of parallel streets climbing the hill away from the Pacific Coast Highway. These streets are lined with many large, custom homes with beautiful views of the ocean.
The area also includes some condo buildings along its border with the highway.
Corona Highlands Condos
Villa del Estate - Spanish style apartment condos with options for extensive private storage and parking space. Units include fireplaces, wood floors, and tall ceilings. Located at the corner of the highway and Seaward Road.
Canyon Cove Condos - Condo building constructed in 1986. Consists of 14 units around 1,000 square feet in size, with balconies to take in the beautiful views.
Most of the single-family homes in Corona Highlands are built quite low, to allow those further back to enjoy the view, and incorporate generously sized wrap-around balconies, patios, and decks to do the same. Styles vary from Spanish-revival to California modern.
Older mid-century homes are around 1,000 to 1,500 square feet in size, while the newer homes are usually around 4,000 to 5,000 square feet in size. There are a few custom homes that are significantly larger.

The community is situated next to the beginning of Corona del Mar Village along the Pacific Coast Highway. The back of Corona Highlands borders the Pelican Hill Golf Course, while Cameo Highlands lies to the south.
The neighborhoods to the south, across the highway, also include a number of footpaths that descend towards the quiet and exclusive beaches along the shore, like Little Corona Beach. Central Newport Beach is approximately 15 minutes along the highway to the northwest.
The University of California has a campus approximately 10 minutes north, while Fashion Island at Newport Center is a little over 5 minutes in the same direction.
Corona Highlands Amenities & Area Attractions
Residents of Corona Highlands enjoy easy access to the amenities and entertainment found in Corona del Mar, the beautiful beaches below, and the scenic vistas of the California coast to the south.
While the properties in Corona Highlands boast large, well-landscaped yards and pools, the community doesn't have a dedicated amenity or recreation space. However, residents have a very short way to go to enjoy the best of Corona del Mar and beyond. From the cafes, restaurants, and stores of Corona del Mar Village, to the resort facilities at Pelican Hill Resort, the residents of Corona Highlands enjoy an abundance of things to do.
Crystal Cove State Park is a short distance south, and includes miles of coastal wilderness with secluded beaches, trails, and view sites.
