Wild Strawberry Café - Newport Center

Located in Newport Beach, in an unsuspecting commercial section of Newport Center, is a hidden gem of an eatery called Wild Strawberry Café.

While waiting in line, my lunch companion and I noticed that several customers were being welcomed by name. With a healthful and delicious menu and convenient coastal location, it's no surprise that Wild Strawberry Café attracts a number of regulars along with the newcomers.

Between the two of us we enjoyed two lunch combos which included an albacore tuna sandwich and quinoa salad; and a turkey, avocado sandwich with pesto aioli and a kale power salad.

The food tasted fresh, and even with the sizable portions, we were left wanting to explore the rest of the menu.

The Wild Strawberry Café has plenty of seating indoors and out, and the casual ambiance provides a perfect setting for a relaxing lunch.

The café offers both breakfast and lunch, as well as smoothies and desserts.

Rose's Cafe - Corona del Mar Village

If you are looking to be part of the neighborhood in the Village of Corona Del Mar, head to Rose's Cafe.

Rose's is one of those cafes where locals stop in daily for a coffee, croissant, sandwich or their freshly made baguettes (which do run out if you don't get there early enough).

With charming outdoor seating and nestled right in the heart of the Village on Pacific Coast Highway, you can easily enjoy a stroll past the shops or even Ocean Boulevard, before or after your morning coffee.

This bakery will make you feel right at home and give you a real taste for Corona Del Mar living.
