Located in Corona Del Mar on East Coast Highway, Pirozzi is an intimate, authentic Italian restaurant that puts out meals that are to die for.

The creations come from Chef Alessandro Pirozzi - who now boasts several restaurants in the area (like Alessa Laguna Beach and Mare Culinary Lounge) - who was born in Naples, Italy, and takes inspiration from his grandma's time-honored recipes.

Pirozzi - Our recommendations

Pirozzi features some of Alessandro's hand-crafted favorites such as the Butternut Squash Ravioli and Mama Mia (meatballs with Burrata cheese), both tantalizing appetizers - or the Pappardelle Vittorio, a slowly braised lamb shoulder ragu over house-made pappardelle pasta. They offer an extensive wine list and a prosciutto and mozzarella bar as well.

And if you want an event catered, they can do that too!

My absolute favorite dish is the Spaghetti Verdi, an arugula-infused house-made spaghetti tossed with tiger shrimp and these amazing teardrop Peruvian peppers. Amidst an incredible, lively ambiance, foodies gather here for an all-around incredible dining experience!

Directions to Pirozzi in Corona del Mar: Take the Pacific Coast Highway south from Newport Beach. Then, take the first right down a small lane just after Heliotrope Avenue and The New Port Theater.  You'll find the parking for Pirozzi right there, and Pirozzi itself should be easily visible from the street.
