As residents of Orange County, we enjoy easy access to pristine beaches, local mountains, and plenty of natural open spaces. Shady Canyon in Irvine, for example, borders a nature preserve that is home to many indigenous animals.

Parks in the area around Shady Canyon include the James Dilley Greenbelt Preserve, Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, and Crystal Cove State Park.

And these parks in Orange County are home to a number of wild animals, including:

  • Opossums
  • Skunks
  • Mountain Lions
  • Coyotes

Coyotes are especially prevalent in the nature preserves and open areas of Orange County.

Azarian Gymnastics in Aliso Viejo is hands-down Orange County's premier gymnastics facility.

Located in Aliso Viejo, just off of the 405 or 73 freeways, Azarian Gymnastics is easy to access and a wonderful gym for all ages.

Why I Chose Azarian Gymnastics

The reason I gravitated from my daughter's fun, laid back gymnastics class to this was that I felt that they were ready for something a bit more, well, legit. There are still age-appropriate classes, and for my two-year-olds, that means parents and me with a coach

But this is a real gymnastics center, where they learn actual skills in a caring environment.

And, bonus, they get to watch big kids doing some really cool and inspiring stuff! Even I was impressed!

Orange County is home to a number of great farmers' markets.

Just north off California State Route 73, Irvine hosts its own farmers market every Saturday in the parking lot of Mariners Church. You'll find this prominent location just across from TVT Community Day School and Las Lomas Community Park & Community Center.
